Katharine Tier steps up to Fricka in Karlsuhe Die Walkűre

At short notice Katharine Tier was called upon to perform the role of Fricka in the Staatstheater Karlsruhe’s new production of Die Walkűre on January 6. A resounding success, the press hailed her performance:
"Katharine Tier, as Fricka, portrays the vindictive wife superbly. She dominates the dispute with Wotan both dramatically and vocally, creating moments of icy authority and severity. Her delivery of “Der Wålsung fållt meiner Ehre” is the spine-chilling climax of the scene".
