Australia

Sally-Anne Russell performs in the Baroque Opera Gala, featuring works of Purcell, Handel, Monteverdi and Vivaldi, at Peninsula Summer Music Festival. On the lawn of St John the Evangelist, King St, Flinders, Victoria. 7 January at 19:00.

Li-Wei Qin is Artist-in-residence at Australian Youth Orchestra's National Music Camp from 8-14 January, where he will be interviewed about his career, run a special cello class for all the cellists at Camp, meet with the composition students, perform chamber music with the tutors, and perform solo works with the orchestras on the Saturday. James Crabb performs in Summer Sounds… A World of Music – a mini festival to celebrate traditional and contemporary music in the beautiful surrounds of Bermagui, hosted by Four Winds. Four Winds Rd, Bermagui, NSW. 26 January starting at 13:00.

Diana Doherty gives masterclasses on solo repertoire and orchestral excerpts for students, and performs Mozart Oboe Concerto, Bach Concerto for Violin and Oboe, Dorati Duo concertante at the Glenn Gould School of Music at the Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto, Canada. Masterclasses on 13 January at 10:00 and 14:00. Diana’s concert will be held at the Mazzolini Hall on 15 January at 14:00.
